Even before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot, Queen Consort Camilla seemed to be scheming against the bride-to-be.
Queen Consort Camilla Was Reportedly Against Meghan Marrying Harry-‘She Said Meghan Has So Many Strikes Against Her, She’s Unfit To Become A Royal’
The current Queen Consort was strongly opposed to their union from the start and tried to prevent their marriage from happening. Radar Online reported that, according to palace insiders, Camilla was strongly opposed to Meghan joining the Royal Family and even used her husband King Charles III to try and prevent it from occurring.
Camilla felt that Meghan was not suitable for the royal institution. A source confirmed the following: “She said Meghan has so many strikes against her, she’s unfit to become a royal.”
It has been reported that the couple’s union was hindered by two impediments: Meghan’s status as a divorcée and her lower-class background. Had she been Queen when the marriage was being arranged, it is believed that Camilla would not have permitted it to take place.
Camilla prompted her husband, the reigning monarch, to have a talk with his youngest child and attempted to discourage him from tying the knot with Meghan. Charles followed her advice, which resulted in a heated dispute between the two.
The following comments confirmed as much: “They had a shocking showdown, and Harry lost it.” Although the monarchy grudgingly accepted the union of Harry and Meghan, that did not mean that the tension between them and the other members of the Royal Family was gone.
Eventually, the pair felt compelled to depart the UK and cease their royal obligations. The Netflix documentary that has been causing such a stir has only added fuel to the fire and may become the final straw that breaks their connection with the monarchy.
