According to a new book, Prince Harry was very angry and left abruptly when a royal admirer made a request during the Christmas season.
Prince Harry Was Outraged After Member Of The Public Wanted Christmas Photo-Says Royal Author Tina Brown
Tina Brown, the writer of The Palace Papers, narrated the occurrence, which was one of the two that allegedly resulted in Harry and his ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas deciding to part ways.
Over the course of two years, the Duke of Sussex and Cressida had a tumultuous relationship, having been initially introduced by Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie. In the end, Cressida and the royal parted ways after she couldn’t accept the idea of being married to a royal.
Nevertheless, a recent biography has suggested that there were other causes that could have played a part in the ending of their relationship. This included a supposed incident that happened during a Christmas period with a royal admirer.
Harry and Cressida were visiting Cressida’s half-sibling and other family members in the country during the holiday season. They made a reservation at a pub in Kidlington, near Oxford, for their lunch. After they were done eating, an event occurred that caused the Prince to abruptly leave in a state of anger.
In her book, Brown wrote: “Suddenly as they were leaving, this quite elderly, sweet-looking gentleman came out and said: ‘Oh, sir, so sorry, I know it’s Christmas time, but could I just take a photograph to give to my wife who isn’t well?
“And so Cressida opened her mouth and said: ‘Oh, of course.’ And Harry said: ‘Get out of my way’ and went bright red in the face and stormed off in a huff.” The writer asserted that there had been another occurrence of similar behaviour.
The other had happened on Valentine’s Day when they were travelling to a restaurant in the English capital. But once it became clear that they would be coming across a member of the paparazzi, Harry lost control.
Brown added: “En route to the restaurant, they were driving down Kensington High Street when Harry got word that there was a photographer lying in wait. He slammed on the brakes, did a spin turn in the middle of the street and gunned it back to Nott Cott for a Valentine’s night of pizza.”
