‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that a relationship that we never thought would last is finally coming to an end, and most viewers are relieved that we can move on and put this behind us because they were never a good match in the first place.
Of course, I’m referring to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). What started out as an unexpected relationship has lasted far longer than we expected and is becoming increasingly monotonous. In a preview for this week, Billy expresses his concern for them to Lily, to which she responds, “me too.” I’ve got some bad news for you: we’re not. I know people say opposites attract, but they were polar opposites in this situation, and with Billy spending so much time around Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), it’s easy to see why Lily would be upset.
There is definitely something more between Billy and Chelsea, and there has been a peculiar atmosphere surrounding them since she kissed him in the podcast booth, not to mention that he saved her life and talked her down from jumping.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Can Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) Just Leave Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) Already?
The strange thing is that Billy has only himself to blame. He succeeded to obtain someone out of his grasp like Lily, but after everything that has transpired, he is willing to throw it all away for Chelsea. It’s bizarre. I understand helping her get back on her feet and making sure she’s okay, but he’s spending far too much time with her, and there are clearly other emotions at work.
This will result in an ugly breakup, and Billy will be free to return to Chelsea. He acts as if he is concerned about losing Lily, but he continues to do the thing that will cause him to lose her. Billy is still the same. Self-destructive and oblivious to when he has a good thing and when he should back off from something else. Chelsea comes after gambling and alcohol.
