King Charles III’s festive message was made available online before it was officially aired on television.
King Charles III’s Christmas Speech Was LEAKED-‘More Than Likely Meghan Got The Blame For That’
According to reports, the speech was uploaded to a YouTube channel called The Royal Grift at 6am (GMT). The pre-recorded message is allowed to be broadcasted at 3pm in the local time zone in Commonwealth nations. Nonetheless, this is only acceptable provided that it is not recorded or uploaded to any online streaming platform.
The source of the unauthorised video remains uncertain. There was no indication as to whether the Palace would be instituting any measures against YouTube. A representative from Buckingham Palace commented on the release of the video: “It has happened before on occasion.”
Much in the same way, in 1992, there was an investigation when The Sun newspaper disclosed Queen Elizabeth II’s address two days before Christmas. The Queen sued for violation of her copyright and later accepted an apology and a £200,000 contribution to charity.
The response on social media was mixed. A certain subset of people made it clear that the leaking was a major disaster and that there should be an investigation in order to get to the root cause of this.
After all, it was the first speech given as King Charles III’s tenure as the current monarch and since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Meanwhile, others began to make a running joke from it all. One person wrote: “I’m more convinced than ever that the Firm is being run by complete nincompoops.
“Their modus operandi? Leaking. They don’t even know when or what to leak. Who’s rushing to YouTube to listen to #KingCharlesTheCruel drone on from his gilded cage? Palace staff are useless,” while another person stated: “More than likely Meghan got the blame for that too.”
Now that the speech is over, steps need to be taken in order to prevent this from happening again. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
