It’s been a minute since we’ve heard the names Vicki or Casey White in the news. For those unfamiliar, Vicki White was the correctional officer who absconded with inmate Casey White who was convicted of my murdering Connie Ridgeway back in 2015.

The two escaped in Alabama and made it all the way to Evansville, Indiana before the police closed in on them. Vicki White committed suicide right before Casey White was apprehended once more by authorities due to a tip that they received from a car wash owner.

“Prisoner of Love” Spoilers: The Vicki And Casey White Story Gets Its Own Movie

Is the story based in truth? Well, we know the basics of what happened, and we know how they escaped, but we don’t know if the actual “romance” events of the movie are true or not. After all, one side of this crazy story is in jail and probably not allowed to talk to the media, and the other half is deceased.

So, we think that a lot of this story is probably fictional and speculatory, but it’ll be an interesting watch for those who kind of want to fill in the blanks for what exactly went on and don’t want to wait for the dateline interview in about a decade.

Judging from the IMDB page for this movie, it doesn’t look like there are any recognizable stars in the movie, but then there are screen captures from the film showing Nicolle Tom (from The Nanny and all the Beethoven movies) as the lead role. She’s certainly come a long way from the private school girl we all knew in New York City, eh?

It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything with her in it so it’ll be interesting to see her on-screen again even if it is for a small screen role. Another face that we may recognize is not actually in front of the camera, but behind it, director Lindsey Hartley played Sam McCall on General Hospital for 12 episodes of the soap. The movie premiered on Wednesday, Dec. 14th, 2022, we’ll keep an eye on the reviews for that one. Stay tuned!!!
