CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are all settled in for some character building as we get ready for the next show to drop in Genoa City.
There looks to be some interesting developments coming, and we’re curious how they’re going to work out in the coming weeks.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 17: New member
It’s not hard to find someone that doesn’t like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will recruit the latest member of the Diane Haters Club.
It makes sense since they’re both onboard with Phyllis potentially risking Jabot to set Diane up and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) isn’t.
So this feel more like they want someone that shares their viewpoint on sacrificing a company to bring Diane down is a good thing.
Granted, hurting Jabot isn’t in Phyllis’ plans, but then her plans tend to go off like a sniper using a nuclear bomb.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 17: Promises made
While they’re plotting Diane’s downfall, she’ll continue working to rebuild her new life, and it’s going to involve making a promise to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
What this promise will be has ‘Young and the Restless’ curious, and we think it’ll be something unexpected like a personal pledge to be there for their grandson if she’s needed and so on.
The easy way out would be for her to promise to not antagonize Phyllis, and that’s still a likely possibility as we’re sure it’ll be brought up a dozen more times to fill some time.
But more than that, we expect Jack and Diane to grow very close this week, and that’s sure to tick off a few people. Could their new relationship be involved in her promise?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 17: Not tonight
With things looking up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) will have a romantic evening all set up.
Of course, something’s going to happen to sent it sideways, and we expect it’ll have to do with crossing paths with the Diane Haters Clubs.
It’ll be fun in that we’ll get to see Phyllis keep trying to lie through her teeth with Nikki giving hints as what they should do. Kyle’s reactions will be interesting, but Summer defending them to both relatives would be priceless.
