‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the story surrounding Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death is continuing to spiral out of control. What began as an accident that could have easily been explained and corroborated by Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has now become a super secretive event thanks to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Had Victor had any faith in his children, he would have never tried to intervene and Nick could have explained what happened, and the Newmans could probably afford a pretty damn good lawyer to chalk it up as self-defense or something to keep Nick charge-free and out of jail.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Would Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) Harm Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) To Keep Him Quiet?
Now, everyone in Genoa City seems to be asking questions about what happened, from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to the GCPD officer Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who has been on the coat tails of Victor, knowing there was something else he was missing. All of it seems to be coming together though, but now Chance has a target on his back, especially since he’s married to a Newman.
Everyone has tried to convince him to back off and let it be, but Chance is not going to let that happen and let Victor do whatever he wants. It is kind of making me nervous now though. We know about Victor’s past and he has no problems with getting rid of people, but would he ever get rid of a son-in-law?
Normally I would say no, but if he has his empire at stake, there’s no doubt that he would do whatever it took to maintain power and control. All Chance wanted was the truth, but now, he may find himself missing or kidnapped just because he would not play the Newmans games.
If Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) comes clean about what happened, it just might save Chance, but at the moment, I’m kind of nervous for him. I think he should sleep with one eye open.
What do you think? Will Nick break the news about what actually happened to clean his conscious? Let us know in the comments below.
