El Final del Paraíso spoilers for Monday, November 11th reveal that there’s a new bad guy in town. Before his death, Aáron “Mano Negra” Mondego (Juan Pablo Gamboa) left the keys to his kingdom of evil in the questionable capable hands of his son, Alex Mondego (Pedro Calvo). So what’s next? Here’s what you need to know.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Disappointment

Our first glimpse of the guy who plans to take over everything was underwhelming. He apparently wasted months wandering the streets, with no evidence of anything accomplished. He finally managed to get around to looking at the information left behind last week. Now, he’s ready to move. But is it enough?

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Making moves

He doesn’t exactly look impressive. Somehow, this 20-year-old who looks more like a frat boy than a mobster has gotten a bunch of people under his command very quickly. We’re not shown any significant passage of time before he is suddenly at the helm. In related El Final del Paraíso spoilers, he was working on the information about the same time Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) pulled a disappearing act, one that might have dire consequences for others.

Honestly, he doesn’t look anywhere near as threatening in the role as his father did. And the odd tone in his voice when speaking in English doesn’t help any. He sounds more like a kid than a tough boss. But there is some hope for this plot twist turning out better than it looks.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Better late than never

We assumed that when he got the new role, he was going to seek out his friend, Sebastian Sanín Santana (Carlos Báez). It took him months, but that finally happened. On November 11th, he finally made contact. Sebas, who is currently back in Miami with Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque) to work on a fashion event, is stunned to hear from him. Alex wants him to come back to Colombia with him. It’s an “either you’re with me, or against me” proposition. Alex plans to arrange his return to Colombia, and it looks like Alex will get his way.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Bad history

If he does go along with this, we can figure out why. El Final del Paraíso spoilers have hinted that the infamous curse isn’t over, and Sebas is feeling the heat. In the Monday episode, he rants a bit about the situation his family is in. He mother and aunt are missing. His sister’s a drug dealer. He and his grandmother were nearly shot in the airport before they left for Miami, and his dad is a fugitive of justice. He makes a joke about the family being cursed, with Doña Hilda reacts strongly to. Given they’ve also had multiple references to Laura Jaramillo (Andrea Pita) and her murder this season, we wouldn’t be surprised if her curse didn’t die with her. But will we see both of Catalina Santana’s (Carmen Villalobos) fall before the season finale on December 8th? We’ll have to tune in to find out.
