As things stand, individual states will have the ability to decide whether or not abortion is legal. And in doing so, the Federal right of abortion being legal across the board has now been removed.

Clearly, this decision did not sit very well with Jodie as she happened to join some protesters that were demonstrating on a highway in Los Angeles. That had subsequently gotten the attention of the Los Angeles Police Department, who were not happy by the actions being carried out.

As a result, the authorities intervened which is when things got out of control. In the video here, we can see that Jodie has gotten too close to the police. As a result, they decide to push her away which results in the actress flying towards the floor.

After having done so, Jodie gets up to rally the crowd as they continue to shout ‘No Justice, No Peace.’ As of now, there is nothing to suggest that Jodie had suffered any life-threatening injuries.

But once things had died down a little, Jodie did not hold back on what she believed to be the democratic right of the people to come out and protest against things they did not agree with.

In an interview with TMZ, she said: “I’m extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their First Amendment rights and take immediate action to peacefully protest the giant injustices that have been delivered from our Supreme Court.”

The response on social media was mixed, though. A certain subset of people were appalled by the police response, meanwhile others were of the view that Jodie’s actions were disrupting the freeway.

One person wrote: “Shoved?  More like forcefully thrown!” while another person stated: “Get your privileged ass off the freeway, some of us plebs have to actually get to work.”
