Becca Kufrin has hit back at critics who have branded her as desperate for proposing to her beau Thomas Jacobs.

The former stars of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ came across each other on the 7th season of the show. Unlike other couples, however, they did not leave the franchise as a couple.
It was only thereafter that they managed to work out their differences, but ever since that moment, their relationship has continued to go from strength to strength. But when Becca made the decision to propose to Jacob, that did turn a few heads.
In the pictures here, we can see that the duo are celebrating with some drinks once it is clear that the proposal has been accepted. The post was captioned by the following comments: “In the ultimate plot twist…HE SAID YES!
“We’ve been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we’re so excited to shout it from the rooftops!” And yet, what should have been a moment of happiness turned out to be anything but that.
This was on the grounds that a certain subset of people saw the proposal as a desperate attempt for Becca to settle down in light of her love life previously. She has had two failed engagements that both originated from the Bachelor franchise.
This included her engagement with Arie Luyendyk Jr, which was then followed up by another with Garrett Yrigoyen. As such, people questioned Becca’s mindset as well as casting doubt over the fact that it would manage to last.
In an interview on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Becca spoke on some of the negative comments that she received. She said: “People are like, ‘She’s desperate.’ ‘I would never allow a woman to propose to the man.’ ‘I would never do this. It’s like, cool, that’s you.
