In the world of celebrities, we have just found out that Fred Savage has been fired as the director and executive producer of The Wonder Years reboot. There have been some allegations that have come up from those on the set for misconduct with the cast and crew.

A spokesperson for the show told the press, “Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched. Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years.”

    Celebs: What Happened?

Savage, who is 45 years old, is best know for his own role in the 90s television show, The Wonder Years. The original show aired from 1988 to 1993 and the new series premiered last September. Both of these shows take place in the 1960s and are both told from the eyes of a 12-year-old kid.

    Celebs: Fred Savage Fired

They are working their way through life and family. Savage played Kevin Arnold and in the new series, Elisha Williams starts as the 12-year-old. After this firing though, it looks as if there may not be a second season of this show after all. We cannot be too sure yet though.

These allegations come just a few years after the woman who played Fred’s mom in The Wonder Years alleged that another cast member sexually harassed her. Jason Hervey who played Fred’s older brother was taken to court by Alley Mills for these charges.

Then in 1993, a costume designer sued Hervey and Savage and she claimed that “their verbal and physical harassment prevented her from properly doing her job and led to her being fired.” This lawsuit was settled and dropped.

Savage doesn’t seem to stay out of trouble though. In 2018, when he was working on Fox’s, The Grinder, another costume designer came out and alleged that he created a very hostile work environment for her and those on the cast and crew. He denied these claims and a judge ended up throwing out this case.

The new series is very personal to Savage since he did star in the first, but with what has happened, we think that he will think twice before he acts the way that he did. He has yet to make a statement about being fired, but we are sure he will soon. Stay tuned for updates or follow him on social media.
