‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (BB) Spoilers finds that now, before everyone jumps to Hope and Liam’s defense and gets all mad at me and tells me that I need to back off and that I’m being mean to Hope, I’m not. When Hope was suffering her ‘loss’ of little Beth Spencer, I was very sympathetic. She had wanted to be a Mom so much and she had been so excited about raising a child of her own, and the not getting to bond with little Beth immediately after birth because she allegedly died was just heartbreaking and tragic. But then, Liam figured out the mystery when he went snooping in Steffy’s house one night and little Douglas Forrester confirmed his suspicions by telling him that ‘Phoebe Forrester’ was really Beth Spencer because he’d overheard dopey Dad, Thomas Forrester, run his mouth and confess the truth over the phone.

So it’s been a few months, Hope has her baby girl and she and little Beth are bonding spectacularly and little Douglas is still in her life, but let’s face it, due to his spectacular lies, she and Thomas are not together anymore, not at all. She’s in love with Liam, always has been, always will be, even though she technically ‘gave him back’ to Steffy after Beth ‘died’ but that didn’t stick, true love conquers all and all that jazz.
But now she not only wants to be a Mom to little Beth, but she also wants to be a Mom to little Douglas. Now, the desire itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing, after all she did act like a Mom to him at a very vulnerable time in both their lives.. But is she really going about this in the healthiest of manners?

‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: No, not really
Just like Thomas’s infatuation with her, she seems to be single-handedly fascinated with little Douglas, but in a totall different way. She wants to be this kid’s Mom so bad she can taste it. But she doesn’t seem to be going about this in a healthy fashion. Instead of volunteering to be more involved in say, healthy activities like going to his school and monitoring general well-being, she finds herself considering a night of debauchery with Thomas Forrester in order to get him to sign over parental custody to her. Granted, Thomas is not exactly the healthiest of individuals for offering but right now we’re looking at Hope.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Is Hope actually considering this?
Now, initially when Thomas proposed getting together as ‘a man and a woman’ Hope looked appalled so let’s give her credit for that at least. She wasn’t completely without scruples, falling all over herself and throwing down her husband for thomas’s offer of one night of passion. However, the more he started talking the more that Hope seemed, well, not completely opposed to the idea. It looked like there at the end that she might actually nod her head ‘yes’ in agreement and Thomas might get what he wants after all. Whether or not she actually does this remains to be seen but the fact of the matter is, she seemed to be carefully weighing her options and instead of her initial disgust that Thomas was even going there she seemed… intrigued.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: What does this mean for her relationship with Liam?
One would pray that, after all they’ve been through, that Hope would not do anything to jeopardize her relationship with Liam. They literally just got back together! Besides, the holidays are coming up as is Beth’s first Christmas and her birthday and oh come on Hope, certainly one night with Thomas can’t be worth all that much to you! Yes, one could say that she wants to include little Douglas in on all the upcoming family holidays and her spending this one night with Thomas would ensure that but could alienating her already existing family be worth that much?

‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Is this something that needs to be addressed in therapy?
Hope never got to bond with Beth during those initial first few months and that seems to have clouded her judgement when it comes to her maternal instinct. Since she didn’t get to bond with Beth, the next best thing was little Douglas Forrester. And she really glommed onto that opportunity, but now that she has Beth back, she needs to be willing to take a teeny step back. That doesn’t mean she has to stop caring for little Douglas nor does she have to really be any less involved but that does mean that she has to focus on her new family and her relationship with Liam and right now she doesn’t seem to want to do that.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Does Hope feel she owes it to Douglas to be his Mom?
One might argue that since Douglas had the courage to tell the truth about Beth and since his Dad was so mean to him about that and essentially left him in her care that Hope may feel obligated to Douglas. After all, it was technically a situation that involved her that made Thomas go off the deep end for a bit and make her have to take care of his son. However, Hope is forgetting one essential detail of this equation and that is that any and all time she spends with little Douglas is still very much voluntary on her part. Thomas has stated that he’s willing to get help for his problems and that he can pay for it, and that he is not willing to give up custody of his son.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: How does Liam feel about all this?
There is one rather important party in all this that we don’t tend to hear too much from, and that is Liam. Liam is over here, being supportive and letting Hope do whatever she wants, but is that really healthy for their relationship? That’s a tricky question. When asked point blank by Steffy Forrester if he wanted to go ahead with the adoption of little Douglas, he answered honestly – no. He doesn’t think that his and Hope’s family needs a new addition just yt, he thinks that Thomas ought to remain his rightful legal guardian and that Hope should back off, but is Liam going to say that?
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Anything to appease Hope
Since she left him once before, I think that Liam Spencer is not willing to rock the boat when it comes to Hope and her decisions. He’s not willing to be the bad guy in anything and he just wants to make her happy, but if he’s not careful this ‘anything to make Hope happy’ quest may just get him out of the picture, permanently. What if Hope does agree to a night of passion with Thomas and what if it reignites some old feelings? Or at least makes her question her current ones for Liam. After all, Liam hasn’t helped things lately by not putting his foot down when it came to Steffy so if Hope were feeling neglected enough she might just take Beth and Douglas with her and roll back on over to Thomas.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: When will it end?
At this point we’re all asking when this love quadrangle will end and it looks like the answer to that is not anytime soon. They’re in this for the foreseeable future or at least until someone new and more interesting comes along for them to be with. Is Hope’s desire to be a Mom normal? At this level, no, but I don’t know if this will ever actually be addressed or if it’s just going to have to ‘wear off’. I mean, geeze Hope, there’s a lot of animals who need adopting, why not start adopting cats, or other, more unfortunate children while you’re at it? I’m sure the LA County Foster System would love to put a couple of under priveleged children up in your cabin! Will Hope get over this notion? Stay tuned!!!
