The tables have turned and a favorite character has been killed off in one of the stranger triangles CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have seen in a while.
With so much to unpack, especially who did what exactly, this should be the start of an interesting storyline. And a redemption of sorts for another character most of us are tired of.
In the end, we can only hope there’s a worthwhile payout for all of these twists and turns at some point.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Ashland leaves everyone stunned
This is going to be an interesting and awkward moment for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as they’ll find out Ashland Locker (Robert Newman) saved their daughter.
His actions are contrary to his character, since he abandoned his best friend when he was in a similar situation.
But in this case, it would go a long way to prove how much he loves Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and ‘Young and the Restless’ think that’s going to be the storyline going forward.
Of course, there’s going to be the mystery on whether Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was really the one that ran them off the road.
It’ll come down to the police investigation and how the cars are situated and all, but we have a feeling the official story will be Rey must’ve drifted over in the fog and cause the accident.
This will keep Ashland around as an albatross around Victor’s neck for the foreseeable future.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick’s the bearer of bad news
Whelp, it looks like Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be the bearer of bad news for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) when he tells her about the accident and that Rey was killed.
It’ll rock Sharon and could bring the upcoming wedding to a halt.
But more than that, it’ll open the door for Nick and Sharon to get back together as he’ll be there for her throughout this for her, and it’ll be a golden opportunity for them to grow closer and take things to the next level.
We’re curious how this will play out given how fans are in a love/hate relationship with this couple, but at least they’ll take their time in having this happen.
