‘90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers find that season 9 was pretty much a given due to the popularity of the TLC mega hit. New audience members have been tuning in in droves over 8 seasons of the original 90 Day Fiancé, along with its most popular spin offs: 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (currently airing it’s 5th season), 90 Day Fiancé: the Other Way (3 seasons and counting) and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? (likely to air a 7th season soon).
Despite not fearing a cancellation, a ninth season air date was well received by 90 Day fans. Another reason for the large audience to cheer- a cast list has been announced and it seems TLC has actually been listening to the viewers! Season 9 will have only one veteran couple among the seven couples who will face all sorts of adversity as they attempt to wed within the 90 day allotted time slot the US government allows.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers – Season 9 Cast Revealed!
Oh, and the returning couple is NOT Angela and Michael (yaaaaayyyy!!!)
It is (drum roll)……
and Biniyam Shibre
After playing in the minor leagues (aka, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way) Ari and Bini are ‘graduating’ to the OG 90 Day fiancé, which means we will be seeing the pair trying to make it work as a family (with toddler, Avi) in the USA. Bini’s past link to the United States will explored while Ari will continue to clash with Bini’s sisters, Mimi and Wish
Thaís and Patrick
Patrick from Austin, Texas met Thais from Brazil when he was visiting his father’s family in the South American country. Looking for a tutor to teach him Portuguese– on a dating site (because, where else would you find a tutor?) Thais soon fell for her student and vice versa.
After dating in Brazil for a while, Patrick has convinced 25-year old Thais to give up her flashy Brazilian lifestyle to move with the divorcee to the USA
Emily and Kobe
Another tutor, Emily was teaching English in China when she met Kobe from Cameroon. Before Emily could even find Cameroon on a map the pair were engaged and expecting a son. However, their relationship hit a giant snag when the pandemic kept them apart for 2 years.
Reuniting now in Kansas, Emily, Kobe and their toddler will have to learn how to live together as a family of three.
Kara and Guillermo
29 year old Virginia native, Kara was working in Venezuela when she met her husband to be, 23 year old Guillermo from Dominican Republic. Despite pushback from family and friends. Kara moved to the DR to be with Guillermo.
However, when the pandemic hit, Kara moved back to the USA. The couple have been separated for 9 months and will now go through the stress of the visa process as they get reacquainted, with Guillermo adapting to a whole new life in a whole new country.
Shaeeda and Bilal
Father of two, Bilal from Missouri only need some online convos and one week in Shaeeda’s native Trinidad and Tobago to propose to his lady love. However, now that Shaeeda is in the States, she is wondering if Bilal is the same man she fell for as he starts talking about not wanting to add more kids to the family and having Shaeeda sign a pre-nuptial agreement before they get married.
Miona and Jibri
Jibri first noticed the stunning Miona in the audience of his Milli Vanilli cover band’s show while performing in North Serbia. (Okay, the Milli Vanilli part might not be true) The pair have travelled together and when they got engaged, Miona had visions of living happily ever after among the glitz and glam of the Hollywood she has seen on television.
Unfortunately for Miona, Jibri is planning on moving Miona to his home state, South Dakota.
Yvette and Mohamed
When it comes to May/December romances, 48 year old Yvette from New Mexico and 25 year old Mohamed from Egypt are sure to raise eyebrows. Especially as Yvette’s 12 year old special needs child is closer in age to Mohamed than Yvette is.
The pair communicated on social media before Yvette travelled to Africa to meet Mohamed. Now engaged, the pair plan to make their home in the USA…but the road to the altar will be a bumpy one.
Already audiences are excited to see new blood on the show as watching the same tired couples like Angela and Michael and Darcey and ‘the latest’ was starting to wear thin. There has also been a call for the show to return more to its roots where fans watched real couples– with a fighting chance– who they wanted to root for like Alexi and Loren and Alan and Kirlyam. While the drama of a Gino and Jasmine or Mike and Natalie is always nice here and there, lately it seems it has been sensationalized couples only who are having the opposite affect on viewers- they are getting bored.
Whether or not these couples are the real deal or fame hunters, one thing is for certain- they better have a squeaky clean background. While it seems TLC doesn’t do much in regards to back ground checks on their cast members (Geoffrey Paschel and his 18 year jail sentence comes to mind), the 90 Daytectives sure do.
These new cast members will be wanting to wipe their social medica clean after seeing Alina be cancelled mid season and fans turn on Lil Mike after their racist posts came to light!
90 Day Fiancé season 9 premieres on Sunday, April 17, at 8 pm ET on TLC
