Reverend Al Sharpton says podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan needs to do more to prove that he’s learned from the controversy following his use of the N-word, however, what “more” means is still a bit of a cryptic message. If I were to guess, it would entail giving money to Sharpton in some kind of way.

Sharpton even said that Rogan sounds sincere, but that’s not good enough for him. He must continue to prove himself even more sorry, and even more sincere, because that is the kind of world we live in in 2022. However, what he is supposed to do is a little bit of a mystery.

He also pointed out that it was just once or twice, but Rogan said it several times and his apology came as a result of the compilation coming out. As for making it right, Sharpton explains that meeting with community leaders, as it is often done in these situations, probably won’t cut it.

He leaves it very open for interpretation for Joe and what to do next. If Spotify were to dump Rogan, Sharpton says wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

So, basically… apologies aren’t good enough and Joe should do something more, but Sharpton doesn’t know what that thing is, and Rogan should figure it out for himself, even though he already apologized. Yes, you’re probably following this as well as I am. “Do the thing, but I don’t know what it should be, but you should do it because the other thing you did isn’t good enough.” Wise words my friends.

What do you think? Is there anything else that Joe should do following the controversy and is Sharpton really the man to tell him? Let us know in the comments below.
