Maurice Benard’s State of Mind has evolved quite a bit from the Instagram stories the actor used to post. Since it’s gone to YouTube, the actor has gotten an impressive lineup of guests from the Daytime world and beyond, including his latest chats with co-stars Marcus Coloma (Nikolas Cassadine) and Johnny Wactor (Brando Corbin).
He’s even done a mock episode on Instagram with Coloma as Nikolas. Watching Benard interview a Cassadine while discussing Sonny Corinthos (Benard) was hilarious. And Coloma’s chat with him was a great watch. But there’s something else coming. Let’s fill you in.
Maurice Benard’s State of Mind goes big
Following his chat with Wactor, the actor released an extra video this week. In it, he announced State of Mind is going to a streaming platform called Industry, where it will air globally. Said Benard of the news, “I’m estactic, nervous.” He says his wife will be involved and actually wants her to be the first guest. In fact, Benard also has a wish list of guests in mind so we’re sure there is plenty of great stuff ahead.

So, What can people expect from this move? Well, it sounds like there will be higher production values, as the service will have a studio as well as makeup people involved. He described it as “State of Mind on steroids.”
Said Benard, “The beautiful part of State of Mind is in started in a car on Instagram Live.” He was warned against doing it and Benard didn’t know how it would be received, but he took the chance. Benard then went on to talk about how much the response meant to him.
Following fan advice, he, despite his initial reservations about going to YouTube, took the chat there. Now that it’s going to a platform, Benard assured fans it will still be placed on YouTube, at least for a while. Stay tuned for more news as the premiere on the new platform approaches.
