CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready for an interesting episode as we dig into some storylines set to end badly and another that’s a rehash of sorts, but it works.
It’s only a matter of time until things explode in Genoa City, and whether or not it’s big or small will depend on a couple of variables.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 11: Abby’s Concern Grows
Since coming back, Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) hasn’t been himself. He’s obviously suffering from PTSD and survivor’s guilt if not more, so it’s not a surprise he’s having trouble adjusting to fatherhood.
It also doesn’t help that the child isn’t his since Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) needed a child so bad Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) donated his sperm, but that rant, er, the spoiler is coming later.
In this case, Abby’s going to be nearing her wit’s end at how she can help Chance. One thing she could do is talk to him about seeing Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) or another psychiatrist to help him work through everything.
But since she enables didn’t bother doing that for her, it’s not going to be at the top of things she should consider. Or she decides against it for whatever reason.
‘Young and the Restless’ don’t expect this to end well, and there’s even more stress that won’t help to come from another source.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 11: Devon’s Support System
Now that Devon is officially going after having parental rights for his biological son, things are going to get ugly between him, Chance, and Abby.
We also expect Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to voice his disappointment sooner or later.
While Devon’s fighting a solo battle, he’s going to have a backup from Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), who has more than proven herself in the courtroom and in general as being a stand-up person.
She wants Devon to be happy, and she’ll do whatever she can to help him achieve that, even if it means shattering a friendship.
As wrong as he may be on this, Dominic is his biological son and this is hubris for no one stepping up to get her the help she needed when she mentioned having a baby to feel like a good wife for Chance.
Seriously, with an argument like that, we’re curious how anyone okayed this storyline for the last year, and now it’s time for all those problems to sprout.
At least it shouldn’t be boring?
