Singer Ellie Goulding has opened up on the struggles that she has had with her mental health.

The singer, for her part, has had a challenging 2021. She welcomed the arrival of her first child, Arthur, which led her to taking a break from the music industry.

Not only that, but Ellie had a major milestone in her music career. She had the opportunity to be one of the few artists in the world to perform for the Royal family.

She had exclusively sung at a Christmas concert that was held for none other than Prince William and Kate Middleton. That is why she had an emotional year.

In a post to her fans on Instagram, Ellie said: “I’ve struggled daily, nightly, hourly with a kind of panic I didn’t even know existed.

“While the moments of being on stage in front of all of you have been some of the most exhilarating and calming, this year I have been struggling.”

This is a brave thing for Ellie to speak about, but her primary motivation for doing it was to raise awareness that such things can happen to anyone.

And at a time where the pandemic has made people suffer from struggling to see loved ones, Ellie wanted to make sure that she remained connected to her fans during this difficult time.

She added: “This is something so many people have gone through, you may be going through right now, or might go through in the future…it’s not just you, it’s not just me.”

In this way, Ellie is looking to put the year behind her and focus on the positives that she has in her life. After all, she has to make sure that she is in a good state in light of the fact that she has to be there for her son.

Her following comments confirmed as much: “Life is a precious thing and seeing Arthur grow every day gives me so much hope. … Let’s get through this together. 2022 is going to be a bright year.”

Hopefully, Ellie can overcome all of this and get back to what she does best. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
