If there’s anything that Kate Middleton doesn’t want to be seen as it’s someone who isn’t modest. There’s a new report that suggests the Duchess of Cambridge is having a “deliberately modest” birthday as she doesn’t want to be compared to her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle. Kate is set to turn 40 on January 9th. Here’s what you need to know.

According to new reports, royal expert Duncan Larcombe weighed in on how the Duchess of Cambridge will be celebrating her all-important 40th birthday this month. He told OK!

Magazine in a new interview, “It’s just not Kate’s style to want to throw a lavish party for friends and family. I can’t see her going on any VIP trips to posh West End restaurants either. I think we can expect Kate to be deliberately modest, with no fuss and the emphasis firmly on her family.”

As many fans remember, Meghan celebrated her 40th birthday by helping other women by pledging to organize 40 of her friends to donate 40 minutes of their time to help others find employment.

Back in August, there were reports suggesting Prince Harry and Meghan markle were ‘shunned’ from former president Barack Obama’s big 60th birthday bash. Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not make it onto the invite list for former President Barack Obama’s massive 60th birthday party, which took place at the Obama’s private estate at Martha’s Vineyard.

According to the New York Daily News, the Obamas scaled back their party because of Covid-19 concerns, but that didn’t stop some of their closest friends from coming. The guest list included A-listers such as George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Stephen Spielberg and Bruce Springsteen along with Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay. Notably absent were royal Californians, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.
