‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Will Thomas scheme his way out of a good thing?
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) Spoilers finds that as we all know, so far Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has been a good, supportive, if rather enabling Father to Thomas during his most recent struggles. No one really blinked an eye when he took his son’s side after Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) threw him off the cliff because we saw where he was coming from.
No Father in their right mind wants their child to die, even if they haven’t been the best of people and the hurt went all that much deeper because it was Brooke that pushed Thomas off the cliff. She’s his wife, his love, his light, in an ideal world she wouldn’t have to resort to such drastic measures.

However, Ridge has been quite blind when it comes to the dark side of Thomas. When Thomas was obviously manipulating Hope to get what he wanted, Ridge turned a blind eye. When the accusations of what happened to Emma Barber (Nis Sioux) came up, he refused to believe his son could do something that sinister.
When Thomas was berating little Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) for simply telling the truth like his Mom, Caroline Forrester (Linsey Godfrey) would’ve wanted, Ridge probably just thought he was disciplining his kid and didn’t want to be involved in it.

But now Thomas’s vendetta has gotten personal, now he wants to break up the Logan and Forrester families for good and he wants to start by getting Brooke out of the way. Now that Ridge has spent the night with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards), Thomas wants to usher in this new era of surrounding himself by people who can be easily manipulated.
Since he knows he has his Dad on his side, now he thinks he can up the ante by wedding out the old wife who is hip to the hive and notices that Thomas sin’t all that mentally stable and get his Dad to trade her in for a brand new model who has an air of desperation about her and probably wouldn’t look too closely at Thomas as a human being. Thomas is trying to cutivate his family.

However, Ridge has loved Brooke for literally decades. Thomas could be cultivating himself out a precious ally as well – his own Father. It looks like what Ridge wants to do is move past his transgressions and have his family back to the comfortable level it once was.
Now, it looks like that will take some work but Ridge isn’t entirely unreasonable and seems like even if Brooke is mad at him he’s willing to put in the work to keep her happy and in his life. But Ridge is between a rock and a hard place right now, yes he loves Brooke but does he really love her enough to throw his own son under the bus?
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Ridge likes comfort
The thing that both Thomas Forrester and Brooke doesn’t realize is, Ridge seems to value comfort over everything else. He’s at a comfortable place in his life and he seems to take the path of least resistance.
If the path leading to Brooke turns out to be the one with the least resistance, the one that keeps his life at the status quo, then chances are, he will follow it. However the only cons to this is the fact that Brooke will insist that he get Thomas the help that he needs and that doesn’t really seem to be a possibility that Ridge doesn’t look too closely at.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Trying on new situations for size
If he sees Thomas’s option as the ‘easier’ option, then he may go temporally insane himself and opt for that, separating from Brooke and trying out Shauna for awhile in order to keep the peace with his son. But Brooke and Ridge have a history and such a history is not so easily erased, even by blood. Either way, it’s pretty obvious that Ridge is going to take whatever path requires the least amount of effort. Whatever that is, we’ll have to stay tuned for.
