‘Counting On’ Spoilers finds that, just when you think that children are safe from the Duggars, think again! Jana Duggar, the only grown daughter of the Duggars that is still at home and unmarried, was charged with child endangerment.
The thing is, there are a lot of information missing from this case because it was not held in the district court but rather in a different branch. Thankfully, Jana Duggar’s charges are way different from Josh Duggar’s charges, so there’s no question of things being two for two for the Duggar clan. Rather, it seems that Jana may be unintentionally guilty of negligence.
‘Counting On’: Jana Duggar Charged With Child Endangerment – What We Know About The Charge
We don’t know whose child if it was one of the Duggar children, or if it was that of a family friend who happened to be over, or perhaps one of her sisters’ children, and we’ll probably never know the identity of the child because they are a minor and the courts will protect minor identities.
It seems that Jana fell asleep while watching the child, and the children somehow ended up on Dowell Road, a road that is quite a walk from Jim Bob’s own property.
Now, if this were just 30 years ago Jana probably wouldn’t have been charged with any kind of endangerment because the Oregon Trail generation remembers when it wasn’t uncommon to be outside from dawn till dusk with absolutely no parents around and they trusted us to come home at dinner, sometimes that meant crossing entire lanes of highway to do so.
But then is not now, now is the time of technology and keeping a watchful eye out on your kids because children go missing, and unlike the ’80s, the police aren’t just going to say that your child ran away – they’re going to suspect the people in the home first and question strangers later.
Jana Duggar is finding this out first hand now. One wonders what on earth JimBob and Michelle have to say about it, but with JimBob having selective amnesia at Josh’s trial and campaigning for senate all in one breath, it seems doubtful he would have time to help his struggling daughter in her time of need.
It wouldn’t be the first time he had left a daughter to flounder by the wayside while he supported Josh. Michelle might have a bit more to say about it in private, but chances are, we’ll never know.
Jana has been helping raise the children for a while now and it is speculated that that is the reason why Jana is still at home and unmarried because she is helping raise the children, however, now that she’s gotten in trouble with the law, will that make her feet itch to get out?
