Now that the Duggar family is back in the spotlight because of Josh Duggar’s court case, now Jim Bob Duggar is running for Arkansas Senate. His new campaign really has some fans shocked. He has started to slam the “cancel culture” campaign and fans think that he is trying to hide his true feelings about the allegations against Josh.
Counting On: Jim Bob’s Government Past
Jim Bob is well known in the world of Arkansas politics. He has been involved in the House for the state and now wants to join the Senate. He recently had to defend the reason that he was running for Senate. The page is called “Why I’m Running” and he defended his family on this page.
The Duggars: Jim Bob Duggar’s Campaign
He wrote to his fans, “I will not allow the liberal left, social media, or fake news to define me and my family. Cancel culture and the radical left want to keep us from being involved in politics.”
He then added, “The liberals scream ‘it’s my body’ when they want to end the life of an unborn child, but would gladly force mandatory vaccines upon everyone without hesitation. We must fight the Joe Biden regime, the Democratic Party, and the establishment “RINO” Republicans who are pushing this Marxist agenda!”
Duggar started his campaign shortly after the TLC show, Counting On was cancelled because of Josh’s charges. If Josh Duggar is convicted of the possession of child pornography, he will serve up to 20 years in prison and will face fines that are up to $250,000. His wife, Anna Duggar recently had their seventh child, a baby girl, and she has been by her husband’s side ever since his arrest.
It looks like Jim Bob is trying his best to win the vote of the Arkansas Senate and he continues to push his political views. Interestingly enough, he has yet to make a full statement on the charges against his son. Could his campaign just be a way to try and hide it?
The Duggar family has kept under the radar since Josh’s arrest. Many of them have been posting on their social media accounts, but not one of them has made a full statement on Josh. His trial will start at the end of November and we are all curious to see what the court thinks of these allegations. He continues to say that he is innocent, but with all of the evidence, he may not stand a chance.
