There have been rumors floating around that Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are going to star as voices in an upcoming animated Disney movie. Now, this is not such a stretch for Rodrigo, considering Disney is practically her stomping grounds.
After all, she is most known for her role in High School Musical The Musical: The Series. So it would make sense for her to come back to where she started and voice a Disney character – but Billie Eilish?
We Have To Admit, No One Saw This Coming!
Eilish is about as far from the idea of an animated Disney character as you could get – what with her whole, demon-obsessed persona complete with black hair and green tips. However recently she dyed her hair platinum blonde and just a few days ago decided to go with a nice, conservative, chocolate brown.
Are Billie Eilish And Olivia Rodrigo Co-Starring In A New Disney Movie?
Olivia Rodrigo even commented on the post saying, “OMG”, we didn’t even know they followed each other, could this be because they were co-stars? Or are they actually unlikely friends? I mean, crazier things have happened.
As for the project that they are working on, no one knows anything about it yet, or what characters they will be providing the voices for.
We do know that the roles are not starring roles, so this won’t be Olivia Rodrigo playing some beleaguered Disney Princess and set against Billie Eilish’s evil villain persona (though we have to admit that would be epic), it looks like this may just be some background roles… we’re guessing sort of like Shakira’s role in Zootopia, which means we may get a new Billie Eilish or Olivia Rodrigo song out of this – perhaps a duet?
That would break the internet but in a totally good way. Can you imagine the Twittersphere? (Come on Disney, we need this kind of good energy!)
Recently, both Eilish and Rodrigo were nominated for multiple Grammy awards. Olivia even commented on Billie’s post announcing her nomination with, “Yesss you deserve it so much! Congrats genius!” Awww, we stan a supportive queen!
