‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) has finally met his son Baby Dominic after a near-death experience overseas. Thanks to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) flying over there and looking herself, she found that he was still alive.
Back in Genoa City, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) have been looking after Dominic, however, when Chance and Abby arrive back, Devon has some mixed emotions. Take a look at the clip below from today’s episode.

In it, we see an emotional response from Devon, but one we’re not sure is good or bad. On one hand, anyone would be happy to see their child united with their father in such an emotional way, however, we know the connection that Devon has to Dominic, and how attached he’s become since watching him.
It’s terrible to say, but it seems like there’s a piece of Devon that wanted Chance to be dead, so he could inherit the role of a father to Dominic. We had considered the possibility that had Chance not come back, Devon would step into that larger role, but now, those hopes seem to be dashed.
So, what’s next for Devon and could he still want to be that for Dominic? It feels like they’re setting something up that is going to tear apart Dominic from Abby and Chance, but it’d be a shame if it were someone like Devon.
I think Devon will bite the bullet and just let them be happy. He knew the deal when he signed on. He has to accept it now.
