Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star Jennifer Shah has argued that the fraud charges against her should be dropped due to the investigation being compromised.

‘Real Housewife Of Salt Lake City’: Jennifer Shah Wants Her Fraud Charges Dropped Claiming The Investigation Is Compromised

Jennifer, for her part, is set to go on trial sometime in March next year in order to determine whether she had engaged in a telemarketing fraud scheme. Her assistant Stuart Smith, who was also implicated in the scandal, has reportedly pleaded guilty.

At the time of the admission, Stuart had reportedly stated the following: “I knowingly and intentionally discussed and engaged with other individuals to develop a plan or operation to obtain money by false representation.”

And yet, as a result of a documentary entitled ‘The Housewife and the Shah Shocker,’ Jennifer believes that statements given by Homeland Security agents Rick Patel and Agnieszka Norman may prevent her from getting a fair trial.

According to TMZ, Jennifer had the following disgruntlement: “Agent Rick Patel specifically commented on the circumstances surrounding her arrest.

“Agent Agnieszka Norman made “highly prejudicial” statements about her allegedly hiding money in offshore accounts.”

Despite Jennifer’s wishes, the chances of the trial being dropped altogether are not going to be that high. This is for the following reasons. First of all, her assistant has pleaded guilty. Therefore, this goes on to show that there was some wrongdoing involved.

Whether or not Jennifer was involved in such wrongdoing is something that the jury will have to determine. But to dismiss it all together is unlikely. Secondly, if Jennifer does believe that she is innocent, then she clearly has nothing to hide by going on trial.

In any event, these actions may end up working against her as it shows that she does not have any remorse for the things that are being claimed against her.

Nevertheless, according to reports, Jennifer wants to ensure that the agents are held to account, by the judge ordering them to disclose any information they may have on the case, which would then allow Jennifer to respond in kind.

It is clear that Jennifer is going to continue standing her ground. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
