TikTok Video Goes Viral After Mother Stops Her Daughter From Wearing Frog T-Shirts Because 'The Frogs Are Gay'

A TikTok video has gone viral after it showed what appeared to be a mother preventing her kid from wearing frog t-shirts on the grounds that the frogs were gay.

In the video here, we can see that the girl is in discussion with her mother about the suitability of the clothing. In the background, a man who is most likely the father has gotten himself involved in a discussion that he would rather do without.

In the footage, the woman is heard saying the following: “The frogs are gay. Did you know? All of your frog t-shirts have a ‘gay saying’ on them.”

Naturally, the girl was bemused by the situation. She could not fathom why her mother would think such a thing, given that she felt it was simply a picture of an animal. And the girl was not going to go down quietly.

She felt that this action was clearly overboard and made no sense. In response, she remarked: “They’re just frogs. All of my t-shirts just have frogs on them, and they don’t have anything else.

“All of my Care Bears and frog clothing is being policed now.” The response on social media was very mixed. A large subset of people felt that this was only going to destroy the confidence of their daughter.

In addition, regardless of whether the clothing was exhibiting gay sentiments, the fact of the matter is that the girl  should dress in a way that makes her feel comfortable. On the other hand, others felt that parents should be able to have a say on what their kids wear.

After all, this is especially true if they are the ones that are paying for the clothing. One person wrote: “I’m sorry dude, this is abusive.

“Even if it’s in a micro-aggressive way, it’s still hella abusive,” while another stated: “Throw the whole mom away.”

The only reason that could explain why there was such a reaction like this is that the mother is not a fan of gay comments. And that is something that is not going to change overnight.
