We all remember the time that Shane Dawson clickbaited us all a few years ago by saying he adopted an 8 year old kid, right? He didn’t, the kid’s parents were right there the entire time and he just invited a very young fan to come hang out with him.
This was during the time that his videos were a bit more on the wholesome and less racist side, the food challenge video times – those were good times, we miss those times. So on Ryland Adams’ channel, he and Shane were discussing how they have two homes, one in Colorado, and one in LA, and how they might be selling one of them.
Shane Dawson wants to have a kid within a year?
Honestly, it looks like Ryland would have leaned more toward LA but Shane said that he saw them raising their family in Colorado, he said that if they had a kid “hopefully within the next year” that he didn’t want the kid to grow up confused about where they live.
While Ryland agreed with him somewhat, you could tell that he seemed slightly disappointed that Shane wasn’t totally on-board to go back to LA. Shane never got to live the kind of life that Ryland did, Shane grew up in Long Beach, so the LA life really isn’t something special to him.
Whereas Ryland grew up in Utah, so the kind of life he’s living in Colorado is probably not the life he actually wants to live.
Also, having a kid within a year is really soon, it’s one thing to have pets, and a farm like Shane wants, but a child? A child is a big responsibility and while we’re not going to go so far as to say that Shane and Ryland aren’t ready for the responsibility, because we don’t know what work they’ve been doing behind the scenes to prepare for any kind of expanded family that they may have, it does kind of make you wonder what on earth have they been doing to prepare for adding another, human member to their family?
Honestly, having Shane do a whole entire video about babyproofing his Colorado home would be kind of hilarious but might incite some Parent rage… it’s too soon. So will they sell their LA Home and move to Colorado to raise a family full time? Stay tuned!!!
