Since January 8th, Chula Vista California native, Maya “May” Milliete, has been missing. Her family, friends, or children have not heard from her in that time and it is widely suspected that she is dead. Yesterday, her husband Larry Milliete was arraigned for her murder.
Currently there is no body but there is enough circumstantial evidence for the Chula Vista authorities to think that Larry Milliete could have something to do with the disappearance and suspected death of his wife. As it turns out the last communication that May had was through a facebook message with her family at 8:15PM on January 7th.

In the days leading up to that, her phone records indicate that the last phone call that she made was to a divorce lawyer’s office. It is said that when trying to leave an abusive relationship that is usually when the victim is in the most danger of being killed, and there is overwhelming evidence that this relationship was abusive.
Larry Milliete, in an attempt to gain control in any way possible, had started contacting ‘spell casters’ about his marriage. At first it was minor and harmless enough, asking for them to cast spells to get her to change her mind about the divorce, but when May’s mind was made up, things took a decidedly darker turn in December when he started asking the spell casters to do things to incapacitate his wife, asking for her to get into accidents, and for her bones to be broken so she would have to stay home.

He did have a security camera in his garage but on the night of January 7th, he moved his black Lexus (with the license plate “Melani” on the back) and backed it into the garage at such an angle where the security camera could not see the back of the car.
Later that night, he left taking his 4 year old with him and leaving his two older children at home by themselves. Again, who does that? It begs the question of what his four year old saw on this drive. He was gone for 11 hours at 21 minutes, practically overnight, no one has seen Maya Milliete since she entered her home on Jan.
