Justin Duggar from the famous Duggar family on TLC’s Counting On has announced that he and his wife, Claire Duggar have purchased a home in Texas. The very young couple wanted to move closer to her family so that is why they chose Texas.
The couple got married back in February of this year and needed to settle down and start a life of their own. Some of their fans do think that the Josh Duggar scandal may have something to do with it though.
Counting On: Moving Further Away
Claire and Justin bought a home in Fort Worth on September 9 and it looks like they got a good deal too. They paid $134,700 for it and it is a two-bedroom, one-bath home that is 737 square feet. Right now it seems like it is enough space for the both of them, but if they do start having children like the rest of the Duggars, they will need more space.

There are plenty of photos of the home online and their fans noticed that it is clearly a fixer-upper and that could be the reason that they got such a good deal on it.
The house has a garage and a nice backyard, but from the looks of it, the floors need to be replaced, as well as all of the appliances and cabinets. These two have a lot of work ahead of them, for sure! What is great to know is that Justin already knows how to renovate houses. He does this for his father and is no stranger to doing projects like this one. He is a great handyman, so it looks like Claire got lucky with this one!
Justin was living in a home that he had purchased from his father, Jim Bob Duggar for only $1! He ended up renovating this home as well and when he posted the before and after pictures of it, his fans were shocked at the great work he did! When Jim Bob saw the work that they put into it, he was impressed as well.
Clearly, they have decided to live closer to her family and there are plenty of rumors why. One rumor is that they want to have kids right away and that Claire is very close to her parents and wants them to help raise their children. Another is that Josh Duggar has made such a bad name for the Duggars that they just want out of Arkansas altogether.
Justin and Claire are very happy in their new home and we congratulate them for this new step in their lives.
