’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that last year, when Armando came out to his family, while they were largely supportive (even though there was a flood of tears), his Father was not there and while he knows about the relationship involving his son and Kenny, he doesn’t know that they are engaged to be married – yet.
Kenny went back to San Felipe to inform his family that they are engaged and that they are having a wedding, but since they were doing so good the first night he didn’t want to rock the boat. His Mom had previously told Armando that she would be the one to tell his Father about their engagement.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: …Except she hasn’t.
She has not said one word to his Dad about their upcoming marriage and therefore he just thinks that they’re in a relationship, he doesn’t realize that it’s a permanent thing. When Armando cornered her about it on their second day in San Felipe, she said that, “I just never said anything to him.” and started crying.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Armando’s Mom went back on her word
Armando told her that now he was going to be the ‘real him’, he apologized for things not being how she wanted or how she imagined it. She was quick to tell him that she did support him in who he was – even though there may be tears.
Armando said that she may be supportive and accepting of who he is, but she doesn’t seem very happy for him and that’s a valid assumption.
Indeed, she doesn’t seem to be very happy for the couple. She seems to think that getting married to Kenny would be the equivalent of being marched to the guillotine and clearly that’s not what’s going on here. Obviously, Rome was not built in a day and his family has made strides in acceptance since last year, but it’s pretty clear that they are not ‘over it’ and won’t be for a long time.
When one of the Producers asked Armando’s Mom if his Dad would even be at the wedding she said that she could not answer that question and told Armando now that he would have to be the one to tell his Dad that he and Kenny are getting married.
Honestly, this move might be better in the long run, but it’s still not going to be an easy conversation for Armando. Stay tuned!!!
