It has been about six months since Meri Brown, from TLC’s Sister Wives, lost her mother. Bonnie Ahlstrom died at 76 years old last March. Meri was heartbroken to make the announcement to her fans and followers. She decided to post on Instagram this past week about her mother and made a very special tribute to her mother.

Meri wanted to share her love for her mother and share with her fans how she is feeling lately.

    Sister Wives: Meri Brown’s Tribute

Wrote, “Six months today since the sudden passing of this beautiful and elect lady I have the pleasure of calling ‘Mom.’ Six months of having to remember I don’t get to call her and tell her about my newest idea, my fun plans, or the latest news. Six months of seeing something I think she’d love and them remembering I can’t get it for her. Six months of wanting to chat, ask advice, or hear her voice. Six months of not getting to hear about her love for her Savior or the next giving thing she’ll be doing. Six months of being forever grateful for the 50 years I had her.”

The post continued, “Six months of remembering all the things she taught me, the example she was, and the love she exuded. Six months of remembering, of gratitude, of trying to be more like her. Because she was worth being like, before signing off: Love you, Mom!.” When Meri’s mother died, it was very unexpected. It seemed as if she was in really good health and the family was taken by shock and surprise by this death.

Meri did share some pictures from the funeral and it looked as if there were many people in attendance. She wore a bright yellow dress and the rest of the family and friends wore black or darker colors.

The funeral was very solemn and even though she was feeling incredibly heartbroken at the time, her husband, Kody Brown, did not attend the funeral to be by her side. Many fans think that this is a sign that he no longer cares about her feelings or her side of the family.

We hope that Meri is doing better these days, but we all know how grieving can take quite some time. We will see Meri and the rest of the Browns on the newest season of Sister Wives. You can expect to see it this fall on TLC.
