According to Express, there might be a PR battle brewing between the Cambridges and the Sussexes as William and Kate are apparently “concerned” that Harry and Meghan have taken control over the royal narrative.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe puts it this way: “Kate and William are in danger of being dragged into a transatlantic popularity contest. They will feel anxious over the cover and everything Harry and Meghan do as it always seems to reflect on them.”
Royal commentator Daniela Elser also believes that the Cambridges are prepared to “strike back” with their own savvy PR move. She said: “There is now something of a philanthropic land grab going on, with the royal house and the breakaway state of Sussex now both laying claim to similar ground. Harry and Meghan face being forced into a protracted PR battle with the royal house.”
Of course, many royal fans and critics alike had a lot to say on the matter. Some commented with, “I don’t know if they paid money for the Times cover, probably did but it is more like you scratch my back and I scratch yours arrangement,” along with, “Utter rubbish.
The Cambridges stand head and shoulders above Markle no matter how much she strains her neck. The Cambridges are not in the game of competing with the Sussexes, they are far too respectable and regarded by so many people throughout the world and besides, they are the future King and Queen of Britain!”
Another critic wrote: “Absolutely – the Cambridges are at a level of respect and admiration the Sussexes can never hope to attain. Any suggestion of competition is a joke.”
