It looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton might be packing up their backs and their children for a major move in the near future. There’s a new report that suggests the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “seriously considering” a move near Queen Elizabeth. The couple currently live in Norfolk. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, William and Kate apparently want to live closer to the Queen, as she has been forced to keep to herself at Windsor Castle ever since the pandemic began in March of 2020. And now it’s being suggested that the Cambridges want to move closer to Windsor, too.
Are Prince William And Kate Middleton Thinking About Making Another Huge Move Again?
While the country escape has been great for their family, insiders say that it no longer suits them. It’s also been noted that Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s school, St Thomas Battersea, would be an easier commute from Windsor than Norfolk.
One source close to the situation said: “Anmer Hall made sense while William was a helicopter pilot in East Anglia and it was useful for Christmases at Sandringham, but it doesn’t really work any more. It’s a little too far away for weekends, but Windsor is a perfect compromise. They are eyeing up options in the area.”
What’s more, it will also be a base closer to London and it will benefit William and Kate in their royal duties, which include their royal engagements and public appearances.
