ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) has been entertaining at times, and extremely annoying at others. We don’t know if the character ever showed up in the past, but when we personally first saw her, we knew Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) made a bad call.
And we’re pretty sure once he gets his memory back, he’ll regret having brough Gladys into their lives to keep Dev Cerci’s (Ashton Arbab) real identity secret. Let’s take a look at how she made life complicated, what she’s up to now, and how there might only be one solution to the problem that is Gladys.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Bad habit
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate from day one, Gladys has proven she’s an opportunist. She hasn’t missed a chance to remind anyone and everyone involved what she has done and how she’s owed. She was so insulted and desperate for a golden ticket, she got herself mixed up with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). And we all know how that ended. Plus, it doesn’t seem over. With Cyrus apparently a factor again, the threat of the Dev secret is still out there, ready to be revealed.
She even recently tried to get Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) in the Corinthos organization. When that failed, she found a new target in Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Well, not a new one exactly. More like an additional one. To combat this, Sasha got her a gig at Deception and she’s currently making Sasha and Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) lives miserable. But she’s not done with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) yet.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Big mistake?
In the Monday, August 30 episode, Gladys approached Carly once more. She made mention of the wedding and how she hadn’t gotten an invite. Obviously, Carly was less than receptive. Later, Gladys saw Carly speaking with a member of the Novak family. This is where things get more complicated.
See, it seems the younger Novak was, in fact, acting out of turn. We do believe the promise he’d be send out of the country was genuine. But that was then. Now came fast when Gladys saw the guy. She approached him and chatted him up.
Obviously, Gladys went on about being related to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and how close they were. Then, she went on about Carly being disrespectful to marry again so soon. Not only that, but she called Carly classless. This might not reflect well when Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) seem on thin ice with the five families as it is.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: One solution?
We can see this being an issue going forward. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal it’s clear Gladys will never give up on her quest for the good life. Or her resentment of being turned away essentially by the Corinthos clan. Hearing negativity spewed about Carly from a member of Sonny’s family could change the game. Sonny was respected, and if Gladys is taken seriously, they might decide working with Carly and Jason toward peace is a no-go.
For Jason and Carly, we think they only have one option—get Gladys out of the way. For good. Now, whether this is sending her somewhere far away, or eliminating her, we don’t know. What we do know is, there is no peace and no stability if Gladys is around to stir the pot.
