‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that people were theorizing Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) would bond with the child she was growing inside of her and end up wanting to keep it. While she has initially gone to the hospital just fine and seemingly handed the baby over, there might be more going on behind her eyes.
Towards the end of today’s episode, we see Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) holding the baby, happy and excited as Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) walks in and looks longingly at the baby. As this is happening, we also get a shot of Mariah looking remorseful. Were the theories right? Is Mariah going to want to keep the baby?

When everything was happening, Mariah definitely bonded with that baby while locked inside that small room. Not to mention delivered it there with just Abby and Devon to help get her through it. Things don’t feel right, and it definitely looks like there’s about to be a battle to see who keeps the child.
While it seems obvious that Abby should be able to keep the baby per the agreement, I wonder if Mariah and Devon would have some kind of “birthright” to the child, as they are the biological parents. Now, the question is if they would even do this and if they would try to keep the baby for themselves.
We’re simply going off of a few glances, and it could turn out that everything’s fine, but then again, this is Genoa City and we’re bound to get some drama.
