Things will settle down in Genoa City with Baby Gate mostly behind them, and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are looking forward to shifting gears and our focus to other storylines.
Of course, just because it’s over doesn’t mean everything’s okay or back to normal, as there’s going to be a long healing process for many. Especially those that spent months dealing with their own demons.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 30: Daddy’s here
Now that everything but catching Ben Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) is dealt with, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) should be able to relax, but we suspect she’ll fall back in her habit of blaming herself.
And then there’s the problem of Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) doing his thing in what we can only assume is the writer’s attempt to destroy the character after the actor was let go.
It’s been a vicious cycle and it looks like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be there to help her through it.
‘Young and the Restless’ would like to see her find her balance, but it’s going to take more than time after she was enabled for months.
We hope Victor sees this and takes a firmer stance with her and gets her to see someone that’ll be able to help her cope with everything.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 30: Nick wants answers
While one thing settles down, another picks up and it looks like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)’s words to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may have struck a nerve as he’s going to ask Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) some tough questions.
He’s going to want to know about her relationship with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and what it would be like if he wasn’t in the picture.
This may seem tame, but it could be building to more important things in his mind as Phyllis’ answers will check off various boxes.
It could mean bad things for Phyllis as she’ll be caught off guard by Nick and she may need a minute to figure out why he’s asking before she answers.
She may even ask him why he’s asking, and that could open a whole different can of worms better left alone. We get the feeling she’ll be in a no win situation, and things could get rough.
Do you think Nick is taking Sally’s words too seriously? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
