Was she expecting a call back? Sharon Osbourne looked anything but her chirpy self when she was spotted looking quite downcast right after it was announced that Jerry O’Connell would be replacing her on “The Talk.” Here’s what you need to know.
The former talk show host was seen driving make-up free with a head of messy curly hair around Los Angeles on Wednesday. If that weren’t enough, there was also a leaked audio of Elaine Welteroth telling Osbourne that she knew she wasn’t a racist.
Sharon Osbourne Looks Absolutely Miserable After Jerry O’Connell Replacement News
O’Connell, who has been guest hosting for the past two months, has been brought on by the CBS daytime talk show as Osbourne’s official replacement.
The news comes after Osbourne received a massive payout from The Talk following her controversial and emotional debate about racism with her former co-host Sherryl Underwood.
Osbourne is yet to make any public comments about O’Connell’s new role on “The Talk” or the leaked audio in which Welteroth can be heard consoling Osbourne back in March, after she defended her friend Piers Morgan over his comments about Meghan Markle.
“I know you’re upset. It was terrible. I just hope you know when that once this blows over that you know that Sheryl [Underwood] is your friend. She really is your friend,” Welteroth could allegedly be heard saying in the audio. “She doesn’t think you’re racist. I don’t think you’re racist. No one who knows you would ever say that or think that.”
In the clip, Osbourne also suggested that she was set up by CBS. She said, “They don’t care that I will now have to go around and [have] people think I’m racist. They don’t give a s–t. They just want ratings. That’s all.”
