Sharon Osbourne has refused to stay silent amid rumours she could join Piers Morgan on future projects, despite her exit from The Talk.
Sharon Osbourne: ‘I Feel Like I’m About To Be Put In The Electric Chair’
She became embroiled in a scandal after she was alleged to have made inflammatory remarks to her fellow co-stars on the show. This led to a fiery exchange with Sheryl Underwood before Sharon spoke out. But the ordeal of it all has stayed with her to this day. In an interview, she said: “I’m angry, I’m hurt. I’ve been called so many things in my life … but a racist is one thing I will not take.”
Things got out of hand even further as Sharon defended her friend, Piers after the latter had questioned the authenticity of Meghan Markle’s claims. Meghan claimed to have suffered major trauma through the comments made about her son’s skin colour. However, the consequences of this led to Sharon inadvertently being called a racist.
As a result, Sharon and Meghan became victims in their own right. And yet, Sharon has hit out at what she perceives to be unfair treatment. She added: “I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is racist, so that makes me a racist.” With Sharon leaving the show, there is a question of where does she go from here?
Her previous work history suggests that she would be open to pairing up with Piers once again, given their time on tv together. As they are both available and looking for work, that may be the natural path. However, it could be career suicide. If both ended up working together, there would be some serious backlash coming their way.
That is why Sharon has decided to ponder her next move carefully. A source said: “She knows some people will now hate her forever no matter what, plus in many respects, she’ll have to start from scratch once the whole mess dies down. She’s decided to take a breather for a while and see where the chips fall once the dust settles.”
