Interesting timing for a memoir, eh? On the heels of the whole #FreeBritney controversy, Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s little sister, has announced plans to release a memoir called “I must confess: family, fame and figuring it out”, which we’re not sure how to feel about because it seems in kind of poor taste to be announcing it now when her sister is embroiled in a legal battle for her freedom.
There have been allegations against Jamie Lynn for awhile now, saying that she is profiting from her sister’s conservatorship as well and while she says that it’s not true and that she has paid her own bills since she was 10 years old, there is documentation circulating that the conservatorship sometimes reimburses her flights.

She also joked on twitter to, “Leave my broke@$$ alone” stating that she was the only one not on her sister’s payroll. Mmkay sis, sure Jamie Lynn.
She recently came out in support of her sister on her instagram in a video, saying that she didn’t feel that it was her place to say anything until Britney herself had said something, she then went onto say that Britney could go out into the middle of the rainforest and have a million babies for all she cared, which… was a little on the immature side, the way it was worded, but Jamie Lynn’s a performer, not a nobel peace prize winner, so we’ll give her a pass on the language.
There was a petition to get her Netflix show, “Sweet Magnolias” cancelled, or at least to have her taken off of it. Also there was some controversy that the Zoey 101 reboot that ended up not really happening was just going to be a vehicle for her and her own daughter to have fame, which is why none of the rest of the original cast signed on.
So, since the gravy train of Britney’s conservatorship is ending (hopefully) soon, maybe Jamie’s trying to eek out another income stream by publishing a memoir? No doubt she is, because the statement on instagram was just the tip of the iceberg, you know she held back, but we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
