Hilaria Baldwin is a victim of her own environment. The former yoga instructor is still trying to justify her Spanish-heritage scandal, but saying that it was hard on her to grow up “fluid” and multicultural even though she was born in Boston to two people who don’t have an ounce of Hispanic blood in them.
As many fans know, Hilaria took a break from social media in late December after internet sleuths raised questions about her claims of Spanish heritage. That break, of course, didn’t last very long.
Hilaria also claimed that she was the victim of cultural appropriation after she was outted for not being Spanish, as she previously hinted. Yet it looks like she’s peddled back to do some damage control over her controversy.

After taking a hiatus from posting until February 5, then wrote: “I’ve spent the last month listening, reflecting, and asking myself how I can learn and grow. My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both.”
And now Hilaria is trying to justify herself by attacking those critics who “devalue” her brave choice to be multicultural.
She wrote in a lengthy Instagram post, “We need to normalize the fact that we are all unique-our culture, languages, sexual orientations, religions, political beliefs are ALLOWED TO BE FLUID. What I had to learn through a very painful experience is that many people relate…so, if you are suffering, please know that a loving group see your validity and belonging. We love& accept you, just as you are.”
She added, “You don’t need to be this and then that, switching, dancing to the beat of someone else’s drum. You can be 100% you all the time. Ebb &flow, in your brilliant fluidity, as your very legitimate you.”
