‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that star Tyler Johnson is previewing what’s next for his character, Theo Vanderway. Ever since Theo landed in Genoa City, he’s been nothing but trouble for his old friend, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Actually, make that his ex friend. Theo has been hellbent on trying to make Kyle open his eyes that the married life might not be for him. Here’s what Tyler has to say.
‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: “Dramatic Consequences” – Tyler Johnson Previews What’s In Store For Scummy Theo Vanderway!
In a new interview with Soaps in Depth, Tyler says that his character will continue to make things rather uneasy between him, Kyle and Kyle’s new wife, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Tyler feels hurt that Kyle seems to not want to remember all of the good times they had together while they were still living in New York City. He’s also upset that Kyle is putting up this front and supposedly pretending to be someone who he really isn’t. At least, that’s what Theo thinks.
“Theo wants to have some fun and push Kyle’s buttons — the two, in this case, aren’t mutually exclusive!” teased Johnson. “Kyle has been so dismissive of Theo’s and their [friendship], their past. He wants to see if he can get Kyle to crack, to break with the holier-than-thou persona he’s adopted since moving back to Genoa City.”
As far as what Theo’s next move will be, it looks like he’s cooking up a plan. And it’s one that might result in tearing him and Kyle apart even more! Of course, his character doesn’t see it this same way. Tyler added, “When it comes to making Kyle acknowledge his past, he has the best of intentions. He [just wants] certain things out in the open. The passion of his own convictions can sometimes lead to dramatic consequences!”
