Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be two of the biggest names in the world right now, but even they can feel overwhelmed with all of the projects they have on their plates right now.
In fact, many critics are wondering if they might have taken on too much work at once as many have noticed that they haven’t really done much work for Spotify, despite their $25 million-dollar deal. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Overwhelmed: Royal Couple Have Taken On Too Many Projects
Soon after The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were pulling the plug on their relationship with the rest of the royal family, they vowed to become financially-independent royals.
And that, they definitely did as they managed to ink several multi-million dollar deals in the span of just one year. Late last year they signed a deal with Spotify through their Archewelll Audio imprint but are yet to deliver any content.
As of press time, Harry and Meghan have only produced a three-minute trailer and their 34-minute Christmas Special, which premiered shortly after news of the deal went public in December. Since then, it’s been radio silence.
And while it’s not enough that Harry and Meghan are making millions from Netflix, Spotify and their other well-oiled business deals, but it looks like they might also make an additional buck off your next bottle of wine, too. After all, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in the “premiere” Southern California wine-making region and might put their money where they wine glass is.
There’s speculation that Harry and Meghan might go down the Brangelia route and start their own wine label. Local resident Penny Bianchi, who lives next door to Oprah Winfrey in Montecito, told the Daily Mail, “Investing in wine is pretty common in Montecito.
I’ve got a bunch of friends who have wineries, I even know a couple of people who have vineyards on their own properties. It seems to be a very popular thing to do around here so I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry and Meghan did the same.
Montecito has so many great things to speak of and the wine industry is one of them. It would be really interesting and cool if they started a wine label of their own.”
Earlier this year, sources said that Harry has no regrets about his move to California and that he feels “liberated” living in the U.S. “Harry does not have any regrets,” the insider claimed to the outlet. “[He] feels liberated and excited about starting this new chapter.”
