Kim Kardashian has opened up on her previous marriage to Kris Humphries during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The duo, for their part, turned heads with their marriage as Kim ended up filing for divorce only 72 days later. But looking back, it seems Kim (as well as the family) may have had some reservations. In a conversation between Kim and Kris Jenner, the latter stated how she had informed Kim that she could have backed out of the wedding the night before.
And yet, Kim remembers it entirely differently. Kim had said: “I thought, ‘OK, we’re filming this for a TV show. If I leave, I’m going to be known as the runaway bride forever. It’s going to be a huge joke, and I think I just had cold feet.” The manner in which the split happened left a bitter taste in the mouth.
Prior to the wedding, Kim and Kris had been dating since 2010. A year later, they would get engaged. But with things continuing to move ahead at such a fast place, Kim did not want to walk away on the wedding day and give the impression that it was all a publicity stunt.
But doing so, she compromised her own happiness. She added: “I felt pressure. I thought I was going to let everyone down. The show paid us, obviously, a fee to film the show. I took my entire fee and probably Kris’ [fee] because I wanted a bigger wedding than what they were going to pay for.”
As could be expected, Kim and Kris are no longer on good terms. Kim revealed how a meet up with some of Kris’ friends, led to an awkward encounter between him and her. During the encounter, Kris was with his friends. The latter all greeted Kim, but Kris refused to do so.
That is when Kim realised the gravity of her mistakes. She continued: “I handled it totally the wrong way. I tried to [apologize]. I tried calling him for months.” Kim may apologised for her actions, but the damage that has been done will live forever in Kris’ memory.
