’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that Angela Deem Illesanmi was feeling apprehensive before surgery, so she had her Doctor, Dr. Obeng (the same doctor who helped the Gorilla Glue Girl) call Michael and talk to him about what was going to happen with Angela’s breasts.
Dr. Obeng understood his apprehension because he is an African native himself, and he said that in Africa people have an apprehension about surgery and generally don’t get it if it’s not an absolutely life-saving procedure. He assured Michael that her breasts would still be large, they would just be perky instead of hanging low as they are right now. (It’s fine, the woman’s in her 50’s, gravity happens!)

After the phone call to Michael, Angela felt better about the procedure, knowing that both her hubby and her doctor were on the same page.
However when Dr. Obeng told her what was going to happen and demonstrated how her breasts would look, Angela told him that that was ‘small’ he said “So we’re just doing a lift, then?” and Angela seemed a bit mystified by that, she said, “No.” because it is a little confusing to go from talk of a reduction to a lift, Dr. Obeng said that he had some ideas about what to do and Angela said, “I trust you.” he didn’t elaborate on what those ideas were exactly, but it’s not like he had time to either.
It was down to the wire and they were prepping for surgery. Dr. Obeng did go into the risks involved in Angela’s surgery and he said that deep vein thrombosis was the thing that he most feared. He said that because Angela was older and oveweight that deep vein thrombosis, a condition where blood clots form in the legs and go up through the lungs, was a very real possibility.
Getting a blood clot through your lungs can often cause death and that’s the last thing we want for Angela, especially not for a reason that is so frivolous. She keeps saying that when she wakes up she’s going to be skinny, but, that’s not really the way this surgery works. Stay tuned!!!
