The tiger on the loose has been located after a Houston neighborhood’s residents feared for their lives.

The young Bengal Tiger is reportedly stressed out but doing well after a woman named Gia lead authorities to it.

Gia is the wife of Victor Cuevas, the man who was arrested earlier this week but claimed the tiger didn’t belong to him.

The 9-month-old big cat named India was almost shot by a neighbor last week when he escaped the home in which he lived and roamed a suburban neighborhood.

His turquoise collar made it obvious India was a pet, and though he is still a bottle-fed cub, he is already approximately 175lbs.

Gia reportedly led authorities to a tennis club where India was being kept after changing locations several times over the past week.

Gia’s knowledge of India’s whereabouts, throughout the entire search for the exotic animal, calls into question her husband, Cuevas’ claims that he is not the cat’s owner.

Cuevas was arrested last week, but not for tiger possession. The Houston man was picked up on an unrelated murder charge. So far, no charges have been filed in connection with India the Tiger, but authorities expect that to change.

It is not known how Cuevas came to possess the animal, but big-cat and other exotic animal ownership has been a hot topic since the Tiger King docu-series landed on Netflix in the early stages of the Cornavirus pandemic.

Tiger King star Carole Baskin had stepped up when news of the tiger being discovered roaming the suburban neighborhood broke.

Along with wanting to ensure those involved in domesticizing the wild animal were punished, she offered up a $5,000 reward “to the person responsible for the immediate, safe hand over of India the Tiger to a sanctuary that is accredited by the Global Federation of Sanctuaries.”

It’s doubtful Gia will see a dime as she seems to be implicated in the ownership of India, also.

The beautiful Bengal is now being sent to the Cleveland Armory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison, Texas, 3 hours away from Houston.
