Astrid Loch, best known for her time on The Bachelor franchise, has confirmed that she is expecting a baby with her fiancé Kevin Wendt.

The duo initially met in 2018 after coming across each other on season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. Shortly after, they ended up moving in together. Things continued to go on strong, as they would go on to get engaged. A wedding had been scheduled to take place, only for the pandemic to scupper those plans. While a date has been set for November this year, the couple can embrace the joy of having a child in the interim.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, we can see Astrid holding an ultrasound picture as she is standing next to Kevin with both parties smiling. The post was captioned by the following comments: “A dream come true…When I think about Kev holding our little angel for the first time, my heart flutters. Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn’t have imagined how amazing this would all feel.”
Things were not so smooth during the early parts of their relationship, though. The couple initially split following the show, only to rekindle their relationship. They had a desire to have children, but things were not working out in that regard too. Astrid was very vocal about the fertility issues that she had been going through.
But after undergoing IVF, the couple have been able to revel in the news of a baby. And touch wood, if the delivery goes as planned, this may be the start of many kids to come. She added: “To all the couples trying to get pregnant, my heart is with you. We know first hand how hard it can be to see these kinds of posts and feel sad & discouraged…But today is finally about some good news.”
It is still unclear whether the couple will be able to go ahead with their wedding. Given the onset of the pregnancy, the November date may have to be postponed knowing that Astrid will be entering into the latter stages of her pregnancy. Regardless, they will have plenty of things to look forward to.
