Meghan King, best known for being on Real Housewives of Orange County, has given her take on how best to raise your children.

Meghan, for her part, has three kids: Aspen, Hart and Hayes. She was previously married to Jim Edmonds, but it broke down after there were infidelity issues. Since leaving the housewives franchise, Meghan has sought to distance herself and her kids from the show. In an interview with Us Weekly, she revealed how she never lets her kids watch their mother on TV.
She said: “I think they think it’s funny to see mommy on TV, but they don’t need to know, like, the gist of what I’m doing. Those are adult parties for a reason. Children should not be there in real life or watching on TV.” This is understandable, given that her love life with Jim played out on the show. For the kids, knowing that their father cheated is one thing, but seeing it on television in front of the cameras is another.
That is why Meghan has made the conscious decision to never badmouth Jim in front of the children. She added: “Duh. That’s, like, the worst [thing].” And Meghan is distancing her children from any future partners by choosing to take things slow. In the aftermath of her split, she had dated Christian Schauf to the point where her kids had met him.
But rather than pressuring Christian to be a stepfather, she is taking things as they come. She continued: “The only person that they’ve met who I’ve dated is, I asked my boyfriend, Christian. They only met him a handful of times, but that’s it. We’re friends, but, like, we’re not romantic, and my daughter will be like, ‘What’s Christian doing?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know.”
That is not to say that Meghan is not open with her feelings, far from it. She has stressed the importance of expressing herself, and that is something she is seeking to pass down to her kids. She noted: “Trying to deny feelings would be denying the reality.” So there you have it. Some parental advice from Meghan herself, and by the looks of it, she is doing just fine.
