If you’ve been alive in the past decade, you probably know about the former 6 second video platform they used to call vine. Vine is no more, but a few of their content creators went onto do great things. One of whom was Adam Perkins, the guy who created the “Welcome to Chilli’s” vine.
He just recited the phrase in his boxers, awkwardly, in his bathroom mirror and reached a level of fame that some people just dream about.

However, his life was tragically cut short at the age of 24. No one knows how exactly Adam died (yet), but all who saw the Vine were definitely affected by his passing. What we didn’t realize is that Adam has a twin brother, Patrick, and he has posted about Adam’s passing on his social media.
He said that being a twin was a big part of his life, and that when people asked him what it was like to be a twin he would always respond with “What’s it like to not be a twin?” unfortunately he will spend the rest of his life finding out. He said that Adam was his best friend, and he will be missing him.
People have continually asked Patrick and other family members over social media how Adam passed away, to the point of harassment. The only thing that Patrick said about his brother’s passing was that “There is intent in not releasing that information, please respect that.”
If and when Patrick decides to release the information (if he ever does) then it needs to be on his own time, when he’s comfortable and when the family is comfortable. If he never decides to release the information, then he’s already said that there is a reason and we should respect that. Sometimes tragedies just happen, and there is no tea, there is just a tragedy that is too painful for families to talk about. We need to respect that.
Chilli’s resteraunt decided to honor Adam by posting a tweet about him. “We are saddened by the news of Adam Perkins’ passing. He brought laughter to so many of us and will always be remembered and cherished. Rest in Peace, Adam.”
Some fans have suggested that Chilli’s name a menu item after him, but Adam’s partner posted saying that there will be a limited edition release of the music that Adam was working on, and that that’s how Adam would like to be remembered, for his musical contributions to the world. We’re all eager to here what this last contribution will consist of. Stay tuned!!!
