A nationwide casting search is currently underway for men who have lost their magic, but not their willingness to bare all for a new Magic Mike competition series.
HBO Max has ordered the series from executive producers Channing Tatum and Steven Soderbergh. Both men produced the wildly popular (at least in my circle) Magic Mike films and the live shows, currently delighting audiences in four countries.

The Real Magic Mike is the working title for the competition, an unscripted reality series that is described as “exhilarating and sexy” and promises to transform a group of 10 men into real-life ‘Mikes’. Viewers will watch the group bare their souls, and abs, as they prepare their bodies and learn show-stopping routines.
But Tatum and Soderbergh also promise the show will be transformative in more than just physical ways for their competitors. The goal is for the men to not just strip off their clothes but the emotional emotional baggage weighing them down. Viewers will be privy to the competitors building their confidence as they get their groove back.
However, it is a competition and only one man can become the Real Magic Mike. The winner will take home a cash prize as well as the chance to perform at the Magic Mike Live show in Las Vegas.
HBO Max said in a statement that they are excited to be working with the “pop culture juggernaut” comprised of box office hits, sold-out live shows and even an upcoming Broadway adaptation. “We’re excited to work with Channing, Steven and the team behind Magic Mike Live to continue this successful franchise that celebrates self-confidence and sexiness both inside and out.”
Well look, if I can help a guy out with celebrating his self-confidence, I guess I can tune in!
