Tre sure knows how to pick ‘em. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice might want to be careful there with her new boyfriend. There’s a new report that says her man Luis Ruelas was once charged with assault. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Page Six, Luis Ruelas was charged with simple assault following a road rage incident in Allendale, New Jersey, in August 2018. He and a man named Jesse Palmieri allegedly got into an altercation after Palmieri stopped short to avoid hitting a squirrel.

When Luis tried to pass him, Jesse gave him the middle finger. That’s when Luis allegedly pulled in front of Jesse Palmieri’s vehicle and “charged at Jesse’s driver side door” and a verbal argument ensued, the report reads.
As Jesse attempted to roll up his window, Luis allegedly stuck his hand in and struck Palmieri on the side of his head, knocking his sunglasses off his head.
“Luis then grabbed the top the window and began rocking it back and forth as if he was trying to break it,” the report continues.
When Jesse tried to apologize for the showing him the middle finger (as if he needs to), Luis continued to bash “on the bottom of the window with his fists.”
If that weren’t enough, while Luis’ ex-wife Marisa DiMartino has spoken out about the new couple’s relationship and has even given Luis and Teresa her blessing, it seems as though Luis has had his fair share of drama from the past.
In documents that have been obtained by Britain’s The Sun, an ex-girlfriend alleged that Luis engaged in “controlling and abusive behavior” during their relationship. And when we mean the past, we mean that these documents were just filed back in April of 2020.
The unidentified woman claims this behavior occurred between February 2019, which was right after they got engaged, through October 2019. The lawsuit reads, “In October 2019, [Louie] abandoned [his ex-fiancé] in Provincetown, Massachusetts and then padlocked [her] out of the [New Jersey] home that they shared.”
